What's good for the goose...

It's rather surprising to learn that donating money to a political party is considered a "questionable political tactic". But I look forward to seeing the same standard applied to a single one of the Saskatchewan Party's thousands of corporate donors.

    Yes, I found this an odd comment, too.  Is it the media attitude that donating to the Saskatchewan NDP is somehow toxic?  Or have they just adopted the Sask Party view that unions don't deserve bargaining in good faith unless they're on "our" side (ie, the nurses)?

  2. If there's any rationale behind it, I'd suspect it's closer to another Sask Party trope - being that it's somehow illegitimate for unions to fund political involvement at all. (Of course Mandryk rightly slammed the Sask Party for saying exactly that, but would it be any surprise if he then decided to take it as convention wisdom for himself?)
